Manmohan Singh was the first finance minister of India, who laid the foundation of sound economic system. Luckily, Modi has built on it. But unfortunately, Modi’s has not eliminated many of the regressive socialist policies initiated by Nehru. Manmohan Singh could’ve achieved much more during his prime ministership, had he not been undermined by the Gandhi family.

Who can forget the Nira Radia tapes or the bugging of Pranab Mukherjee's office? Manmohan Singh was a visionary leader like Jawahar Lar Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi, Narsimha Rao. All other Prime ministers were mostly reactive in approach. Congress has given one of the best statesmen to the country and the rightist mindset will never have regard for such intellectuals. Our country is today due to these great leaders and we cant put them up for debate and say that they did a good job. Just consider a thought, had the people of India followed PM Manmohan Singh's ideas about India and its path ahead in letter and spirit instead of current sensational rhetorics of PM Modi, India would have been already on path to take on China economically and Geo-strategically.
