Mann Raptor 5 string electric octave/baritone mandolin

What a beautiful instrument. After dabbling with many instruments for many years on and off. I have decided on the tenor guitar. I have a very nice CBG that a friend made me. However, I have drooled over his 1968 ES-335 for years. Just can't deal with 6 strings. This would be a dream come true!

MANNDOLINS Mann I wanted a 6 string version tuned C, G, D, A, E, B as well & also a 12 String version but it has Nylon Strings (using 2 sets of Magma GCT-Cello 5ths Tuned Nylon strings).

I really love this "Mandolin". It's a guitar with a short scale. Won't compete against a 5 string bass in the musical spectrum!

Whaat a beautiful instrument. Could I ask what strings you are using on it? Do you think a 4 string baritone ukulele version could be made with the guitar tuning DGBE? What scale would work for that criteria? Thanks for your video. Mike

+Patrick Hlavinka I think you're confused because he names the strings from the 2nd to the 5th string ( EADG ) and then says it has a high B string as the first string.
