Nice work, I could hear the slightest of nervousness in you breathing when you set him down after taking the creance off.

Been watching some videos. Are Worms a common problem with hawks? What can be done?
@ACRfalconry25 күн бұрын
I've never had to deal with worms but you can get meds

Well done on flying free, won't be long until you have him hunting. How is the Cooper's hawk going.

Have you hunted any of the RTs along with your setter? How was it getting them used to each other? I have a small Munsterlander and a lab that are my hunting dogs. I’ve found zero info on socializing raptors and dogs. I want to be able to hunt them together once I trap a bird but I could see a million ways it could go south

I didn't last season as my setter was a puppy but I will be this season. Make sure when manning the bird to keep the dog around and they will get a custom to each other. As long as your dog listens well when the hawk get prey on the ground things should be OK
