With all of the TV reboots going on right now, Mannix is one show that doesn't need to be rebooted. Mike Connors, God rest his soul, WAS and always will be Mannix!

Why reboot when we can make a sequel? A sequel series can star Adam G. Sevani, of Armenian descent like Mike Connors and Mannix himself, as a new incarnation of Joe Mannix that would be the grandson of Connors' character. It just might be the action show Fox really needs.

I think a well made set of reunion movies in the 80's and 90's with both Connors and Fisher back could've been great. But other than that you can't replace those two actors in those roles.

I liked him to. Did you see him in an episode of Diagnosis Murder? He played Joe Mannix in the episode Hard Boiled Detective. At least I think 🤔 that's the title.

I have seen the blue mountain logo during the early 1990's on WPWR in Gary / Chicago. Someone else posted a video of the 1969 split box logo with closet killer at the end of this how from a certain tv station.

@ToughXArmy69: Lucy had retired from TV producing around this time (with the exception of Here's Lucy) and therefore, Desilu ceased to exist, becoming Paramount Pictures Television-keeping the company around wouldn't have made much sense.

I miss the great Desilu logo. Why or why did Paramount discard the great name of Desilu and use the generic Paramount TV? I remember they were going to keep Desilu and Paramount separate but it did not happen and Lucy moved her own company Lucille Ball Productions to Universal

From what I read that Desilu Studios & Paramount Pictures studios were next door to each other & Paramount was owned by Gulf & Western Industries thus the absorption/merger of Desilu Productions into Paramount Television.

The DVD set of Mannix season 2 doesn't actually retain the Paramount logo. This is a recreation. Does anyone know what show this particular Paramount logo might have been taken from in order to do this recreation? I know it's not Star Trek, since Norway Corporation isn't mentioned.
