TBH, if you like the waves, and know the right times, the beach can be fun when the water is too rough for the tourists to come around. But you gotta know the right places. In fact, this is why any locals who actually /like/ the beach are often in places you may not even know are there if your not from around there. At least, that was how it was where I grew up. Also, jelly fish? More likely to get ran into by some kid trying one of those wakeboard things. Absolutely no control over them, though. Kid is worth a d6, but the board can count as d12 slashing when they get any speed. Know a guy who has a scar to prove it. Jellyfish would prob only get a d4. wonder what the modifier was.

I loved going to the beach when I was a little kid... it started getting annoying in my teen years, since everyone and their uncle always seemed to be there... by my college years, the glamor was completely gone -- all I saw was massive crowds of mostly drunk people, overflowing trash cans, drug needles in the sand, human waste in the water, and a whole lotta NOPE. Haven't been back in a over 20 years, and I have zero regrets.
