The reason I herd for the divider in the front trunk is U.S regulations require that if a cargo area is bigger than a set amount of cubic feet they have to have a way to open the trunk from the inside. So to bypass this law Bugatti put the devider so there does not need to be a way to do that. I just find that very cool.

It's true about the bracket if a car has over x amount of square feet in the trunk/frunk it must have a inside release. Dividing it makes it technically 2 compartment .

The bracket in the Chiron is actually there for legal reasons: in the US markets, cars with a certain amount of uninterrupted trunk space, you have to put in a lever that opens it from the inside, so if you kidnap someone, the lever can be pulled and the victim can escape
