Exploring Bronx, Spuyten Duyvil, Riverdale, Walking Bronx, Bronx Walking Tour, Bronx Neighborhood
In this video I explore another side of Bronx that a lot of people don't know about. I explore the sections of Spuyten Duyvil and Riverdale. Both sections are really nice neighborhoods and pretty residential. Spuyten Duyvil contains beautiful houses and near the Hudson River. Another good thing is I explored these neighborhoods in the fall season, and you can notice it in the color of the trees. This time I explore the southern part of Riverdale which is one of the nicest neighborhoods in the Bronx. Hope you enjoy this video, stay tune for more.

I grew up in that area and I learned that "Spuyten Duyvil" meant "In Spite of the Devil" the Dutch called the part of the fresh waters that met the Hudson River, they were strong tidal currents that were considered dangerous waters. I love my Home town

Great Video. I was born and raised in the Wakefield section of the Bronx before leaving to the Midwest for college ( Ann Arbor) and medical school( Omaha). I would take my friends from the Midwest to Fieldstone and Riverdale and SD and it is a different WORLD from the East Bronx!

Thanks for these videos looking around The Bronx. It seems like an area that is often forgotten when talking about NYC. Looks really nice. I especially liked when you got to the southern part of Riverdale. I love those vibrant little main streets. As I've been scoping out The Bronx over the last few days, I've been shocked by how many Dunkin Donuts are around. I think there might be more in The Bronx than in Boston.

My childhood home was directly on Rt.9 up in Putnam county 🤙🏽. My ancestors immigrated to New Amsterdam in 1638 and they had their first of 9 children in 1640 (7 survived). He purchased an island that had a farm on it, also a farm in New Town, L.I (the Hamptons), a property on Heeren Gracht which is a canal the British filled in and renamed Broad Street, he also purchased from the Native Americans over 7000 acres just south of Peekskill 🤯. His name was Abraham Ryck (Rycker, Ricker). Yes the island still bears his name and all these years later somehow I'm broke a.f. . Awesome content, keep it up 🤙🏽
