Fix firestick not turning on | Power problem

This tutorial shows you how to fix a firestick that is not turning on at all.
If your firestick 4k, 2nd gen or 1st gen is not turning on, you can follow this tutorial

How to fix your firestick if it's not turning on:
Once you move the power connector/tab, connect it to the TV to see if you have power. If not, continue putting more pressure to the tab until you get power on the firestick.
If you tried this and it still doesn't work, then something probably shorted out in the circuit board of the firestick and you may need to purchase a new firestick.

So, Manny Fresh, I received a Firestick as a gift about 5 years ago. IT NEVER WORKED! I missed the window to return it, but didn’t toss it, well because, again, it was a gift. Now ... long story short ... I got a second TV and thought, what the heck, give the old Firestick a try. And, I did. TRY EVERYTHING! NOTHING WORKED! My dude it actually worked thank you so much, i literally only had the fire stick for like 2 weeks bought new and it was on a paused youtube video when i switch the channel to my local station to briefly watch the news, but when i went back to the fire stick the power was off but the remote was still working mainly the on/off and the volume that's it. Then i followed your instructions and bam placed it back into tv and it came back on once again thank you so much.

And if none of these methods work, carefully take the charger cable out. Gently place the firestick on the floor. Slowly, and be patient now guys, raise your leg about 1 and a half to 2 ft off the floor. Then release said leg and use your foot to stamp that bastard of a firestick into the floor. Don't be scared folks. Just keep stamping until it's gone from one single device into multiple pieces.

I have 2 of these in one house and one in this house. I watched in the other house last week just fine and I tried to watch here and tv keeps saying no signal and I put in each HDMI port and nothing. I tried on another TV upstairs and nothing. It’s crazy. I think I’ve only used it twice or three times. I saw the black tab you mentioned and lifted but no luck. I’m so happy it worked for others.

Awsm! Little tip: once u make this repair and plug the fire stick back into the tv USB port, arrange the wire so that it’s not hanging and pulling downward on the mini USB port on the stick. Support it somehow. My hanging wire is what caused the black tooth inside mini port to sag.

This was much easier to watch after making it 1.5 speed. A few weeks ago I was having trouble getting my 2nd FireStick to turn on, nothing on the TV screen or recognized by HDMI. After I substituted to TV, cord, AC adapter, I retrieved the FireStick from the trash can and hit the bad FireStick on the counter a few times, then it worked.....
