There needs to be a rule made that if a trick is popped above coping, the defensive trick must be done above coping also. Worthington was below the coping of virtually every trick he did on defense.

Defense is supposed to have some leeway. Often times people that do tricks above coping do them above coping because it’s easier for them that way. Just because it’s below coping doesn’t make a trick easier, mostly just less scary for someone who has never done it before. If above coping was a rule people wouldn’t even try to learn or land the trick they’d just fake pop it or take the letter. It’s similar to the extension rule, just bc the other person hit the extension doesn’t mean you also have to do it on the extension. The idea is to do the trick in general not replicate it the exact same way from pop height to coping height. Also this is all just for fun and they’re not trying to get people hurt.

The judges/commentators sound like buffoons, drawing on boring cliches like "tall vs small" and ""this dude has a weed wacker." They even insult the contestants live on air by saying they both smell bad. At the end of the day it's the judges that come across as immature and uncreative. I would love to watch great skating like this without my ear drums being abused.
