The Golden Iris is old by cruise ship standards, having been built in 1975. She was born a Cunard ship, believe it or not, as the Cunard Conquest (renamed Cunard Princess a year later in 1976). Her running mate, Royal Iris (the only other ship owned by Mano), is even older, entering service in 1971 for Chandris Lines as the MS Eagle.

My friend's nan went on a cruise ship. A system error set the fire alarms off, and they were about to abandon ship until the crew noticed it was an error lol.

i doubt its an abandon ship act. its more of mustering at the muster station as to comply with ISM CODE
