We are constantly learning from the day we are born in this world till the day we die. The joy that you mentioned, which you experience, is the divine bliss our Carnatic music brings, by connecting one with God. Kindly learn music with maximum vigour, because there is maybe no better offering at God's lotus feet than pure sangeetham itself. Learning nothing is a waste, and you can always become a better artiste. Hope this humble comment helped you in some way.
