February 15, 1984, Bombay. We were very lucky to meet with Legendary Actor Manoj Kumar, who invited us to his residence and gave a thought provoking interview. I asked him some very pointed questions, he would pause , think and then respond. A totally different and entertaining experience meeting and interviewing a well know Actor/Director.

We never knew how these actors actually are in their real life. That's why believed they are the same as how we saw them in the movies. Hence there was an 'image' for every actor. Shor (1972) with Prem Nath (1926-1992) & Jaya Bhaduri, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan (1974) with Zeenat Aman, handsome actor Shashi Kapoor (1938-2017), Amitabh Bachchan, Madan Puri (1915-1985), Aruna Irani, Asit Sen. Sanyasi with Dream Girl Hema Malini "Chal Sanyasi Mandir Mein". Dus Numbri (1976)- "Prem Karo Bara Bura" & "Ek Numbri Dus Numbri". i have started watching Manoj and am mighty impressed. Shocked that I ignored him all this while, I dont understand why he suddenly caught my attention and now im looking for more and more information about him. I justwatched Sanyasi ,was might impressed with Hema,never like her,but was shocked how beautiful she was ,like an apsara and yesterday was watchin Sajan-but my dvd got stuck, SKY brand dvds always get stuck, then completed the film on youtube. It was superb. Next weekend plan to watch Amaanat/Do Badan or may be Kranti. I watched these films before ,but now my mind looks at Manoj Differently. Also got a glimpse of Sadhana in Amaanat-she was looking superb in mostof the film. Manoj looked very handsome in the song Door Raheke-anyways will see it properly next week.It also has Balraj Sahni

I met this man coming to pay a visit to Rajesh Khanna on his father's sad demise at Ashirwad in February 1971! He was walking with some other actors with a faint smile playing across his face! I stood aside ,a 17 year old boy fleeing home from Kolkata(The then Calcutta) stood awe-struck facing one of my favorite cine icons! Such a wonderful experience! I thanked my stars that I fled and Bombay happened to be my destination! I still cherish a faint hope to meet this person with a bouquet of flowers, if I get an opportunity!He is 87 now and I am 71! He is perhaps one of the few genuinely apolitical patriot living!❤❤❤
