A lot of people (obviously not Manowar fans!) do not rank Eric Adams very high as a vocalist, but I think he deserves a bit more recognition! I might prefer the voice of young Eric, but he really improved his technique and looked after his voice. Rob Halford used to be my favourite metal singer but I got to be honest, ever since he returned to Judas Priest in 2004, he hasn't really been able to sing Judas Priest songs live. Not properly. He often lets the audience sing instead when he is supposed to sing higher notes. And he isn't alone with that problem. A lot of metal vocalists sing too challenging songs in studio and can't sing them properly live. In their older age. But Eric is doing pretty well here. And whatever one might think of Manowar, I have to say that they really know how to make their audience welcome. I respect that.

@@jussit3909 you sir just said alot of words, and I agree with every single one Rob may be the Metal God, but his technique used to be terrible. He didn't improve it till after he got sober, and by then the damage was done. Eric has always put focus on technique and it's served him well. The one thing nobody can change is age, but my god does Eric come close to even doing that

@@prekotilSa Yeah, agreed. He sounds so strained and damaged. He had nodules the size of a pea (big for the vocal folds), due to bad technique and habits. Look at Eric! Never had problems even close to that

I hope Joey pays Eric a fortune every month, because without Eric, Manowar would never have made it. Joey loves to act as the big man, but it is really Eric that sets Manowar above the Others.

Σπουδαία συναυλία! Ανώτερη από κάποιες παλαιότερες στην Ελλάδα. Συγκινητικός Adams. Αγαπάμε Manowar και με τις δεδομένες γραφικότητες τους. Όμως να γράψει και κανένας την μεγάλη γνωστή αλήθεια, ότι όλοι θέλουμε περισσότερα παλιά. Ναι ξέρω ότι έπαιξαν κι από αυτά. Όμως το να έχεις κομμάτια όπως τα Bridge Of Death, Dark Avenger, Secret of Steel, Guyana, Each dawn I die, Sign of the Hammer, κι ένα σωρό ακόμη ύμνους και εσύ να παίζεις το King of Kings, είναι άκυρο, πως να το κάνουμε;; Είναι άκυρο να παίζεις 5 κομμάτια από το φοβερό κατά τα άλλα Warriors of the World και κανένα από το Into Glory Ride.... Αλλά τι να κάνουμε;; Και πάλι αγαπάμε...

Αδερφέ να ξέρεις, δεν υπάρχει συγκρότημα αυτού του βεληνεκούς που να μην έχει την βοήθεια της τεχνολογίας πλέων. Έτσι είναι εδώ και 30 χρόνια απλά ο μέσος ακροατής τώρα μαθαίνει να το βλέπει και να το ακούει. Αν την δεκαετία του 80 ή και του 90 ακόμα, μιλούσε κανένας για προηχογραφημένα μέρη ο μέσος ακροατής θα τον κοιτούσε λες και του έλεγε ότι υπάρχουν εξωγήινοι. Κατά τα άλλα ήταν απίθανη βραδιά!

@@Vasilis_Metalhead απλά το βάζω στη συζήτηση επειδή τους είχα δει και το 1999 και το 2007(πολύ καλύτεροι το 2007 από ότι το 99) που οι κριτικές δεν ήταν τόσο ενθουσιώδεις , και υπάρχει μια καλή εξηγηση γιατί ήταν τόσο καλή η εμφάνιση , πέραν του ότι δεν είχε πολλές φανφάρες,πολλές κουβέντες και πολλές ποζεριες,πέραν της ορθότητας, υπάρχει και η μεγαλύτερη βοήθεια της τεχνολογίας. Κατά τα άλλα πέρασα υπέροχα ακούγοντας το αγαπημένο συγκρότημα των εφηβικών μου χρόνων.

I have nothing against Eric. He seems to be the only surviving member of the band. If what these guys are doing now makes you happy, then more power to you. I expect more out of life than this though and have higher standards for the band that ruled the world even through the 90s.
