When I was listening 1-2 years ago, he said he was building a "envelope" home - a smart home that conserves heat/cooling and is an utlra efficient home. IT doesn't really look like it. looks like an overpriced ordinary older mid century home.

He gave up on building an envelope home due to Californias restrictive building codes... But plans to leave California & build that home once his kids finish their education.
