Mantaray Island Fiji 2nd Immersion

The second "Immersion Series" video from Mantaray Island, Fiji. This one starts out at sunrise, in the water, our favorite time to shoot. Once again you can see the healthy coral gardens, and the extensive fish-life inhabiting this great protected sanctuary.

Once again, I don't have enough superlatives for this stunning video! The fish are gorgeous, and your photography is superb. I love that you caught a couple of pairs where one fish was in the initial phase and the other was in the terminal phase, and that you caught so much typical searching for food behavior. Was that a sea cucumber after that gorgeous pair of longnose filefish in the beginning? It looked like it was walking! These are the fish I was able to identify (minus the numerous damselfish) in more or less order of appearance: longnose filefish (this was my husband's favorite fish in this video, and one of my favorites as well) bridled monocle bream? striped surgeonfish clown coris (same as the fish referred to as a twospot wrasse in one of your transformation videos) yellowstripe goatfish Bleeker's parrotfish - terminal and initial phase individuals oriental sweetlips a beautiful wrasse I couldn't identify dash-dot goatfish with a thread shrimpgoby next to it? blackbarred halfbeaks trumpetfish honeycomb rabbitfish juvenile oriental sweetlips a hunting party consisting of a yellowtail coris (wrasse), a dash-dot goatfish, & a flagtail triggerfish barred rabbitfish triangular butterflyfish terminal phase yellowbar parrotfish sailfin tang redfin butterflyfish latticed butterflyfish yellowbar parrotfish - terminal and initial phase individuals snubnose or lonfin grouper orange-lined triggerfish humphead bannerfish cardinal goatfish? Another thing that really impressed me was how many of these fish were different from what was on the first immersion video.

@@mariashaffer-gordon3561 That shows the incredible variety of fish you can see here. Every time out, we saw new fish, especially in different parts of the reef. I have more video from this trip than I have time to edit and process. That sea cumber you asked about, I don't know what kind it is, but it was one of the most impressive ones I have seen. They don't really have eyes, so it just blindly tries to gather food from whatever is in front of them. That coral it was harassing didn't seem to happy about that as you can see the color gone were it was "grabbing" at it.
