इस फ़िल्म को NFDC ने बनाने का फैसला किया परन्तु NFDC ने इस फ़िल्म के लिए जो बजट रखा वो नाकाफ़ी था तो गुजरात सहकारी दुग्ध फेडरेशन के लगभग पांच लाख सदस्यों ने अपनी प्रतिदिन की मिलने वाली मजदूरी में से दो-दो रुपए फिल्म निर्माताओं को दिये। बाद में जब यह फिल्म प्रदर्शित हुई तो सुपरहिट साबित हुई ।

Its a film very close to all Veterinary doctors. Girish Karnad plays role of vet doctor. Being a vet myself remember this filn being shown in all vet colleges by New India Insurance who had purchased the rights in 1980s. The music is pure and Preeti sagar's voice is devine.
