Sir,majoritarianism is democracy. It was the fear of majority that Mr Jinnah successfully campaigned for Pakistan,but did not take large number of muslims from India to Pakistan. And this gave rise to concept of Majoritarianism in india.

THE PRESENT SYSTEM OF RESEVATION PERPETUATE THE CASTE HIERARCHIES IN INDIA AND INTRODUCTION OF INCOME BASED RESEVATION WILL LEAD TO DISSIPATION OF CASTE SYSTEM. SUPREME COURT JUDGE, AN SC. Mr Sasi has smartly talked about the "fear" narrative and how it should be a fight between equity and hierarchy.. But he fails to answer why do we still need reservations if we want a society which believes in equity?

He has given the reply in Q&A session after his lecture. Such people, who are against reservation are too quick to jump upon others for a question mark on reservation. At least watch full video, if you wish to raise any question.

@@Philosia I did watch the full video and the response given does not answer the challenges we have. It does not address the issues like multiple generations taking benefit of the reservations, people using illegal means to get certificates. When the talker is using equity as the foundation then why not use purely merit as the parameter. If financial status is a challenge then use financial reservation. Why caste based reservation even now?

@@venkateshn4830 For 5000 years upper castes were sucking blood of those people and in even in 75 years they have got enough benhib\du efited by the reservation but they were not given equal status by upper class people. Baba saheb trusted them blindly, but he realised his mistake within seven years and left Hindu dharma. Now Hinudism is on the brink of erasure from history books due to this one big betrayal. there is no need to give such answers, you and your generations will get it over time.
