This is a great animation.It helped me understand the concept in detail. There is one minor glitch in the animation at the end when the clutch plate comes in contact with fly wheel, the cluth plate revolves but the flywheel does not

Good info but there was misinformation regarding the clutch. He noted the clutch friction plate no longer moves once you press down on the pedal but thats not true. The clutch plate will still be spinning from the car moving because it only disconnects from the flywheel, not the transmission which is why you still need synchros.

Car manufacturers do still make manual transmissions. This is the most common type of transmission in the UK. We do have auto and and semi auto, but manual is the norm. Almost all the car driven in the UK are imported, its just about marketing.
