Thank you
I did face mill both sides of the part off camera to purty it up. I brought it into width dimension.

Excellent video with great camera positioning to show high detail - much appreciated! Hope you have a good weekend and next week. Don't forget to add your link to X39. The Dark-Haired Lady in Charge at my house has been using the patch for half a year now and has no plan to stop wearing them.

And manually spinning handles. I'm telling you Rich that PM30 is really good for it's weight. It has great rigidity., strong, plenty of power & torque. I never thought it would be as good as it is when I bought it. I wanted a much larger mill but they were backordered for a year, So I took the chance and have zero regrets. Fantastic milling machine. I climb cut with it all day long and take decent deep cuts. it just blows right thru material. But it does have an envelope you must stay within.

Hey Jeff, I'm just throwing this out there, but HF has a set of 3/16" to 3/4" 2 & 4 flute HSS TiN coated end mills for like $75.00! They're pretty good end mills & you can't beat the price. Also, nice work & I'm looking forward to the next video.

That would be a cool part to set up in CAM and let the chips fly. Is there enough room/clearance on the back side of that thread to be able to thread mill that feature....?? That way you could dial in the thread fit for exactly what you want.
@Toolmaker001
@Toolmaker001 2 ай бұрын
Cnc is definitely the way to go on this thread. The clearance is a little over half the width of my 60 included tool. If I wasn't blind as a bat and had a nice tool grinder with magnification, I could grind a tool to very specific dimensions. I definitely think I could chase that thread with zero headaches involved.
@ericsandberg3167
@ericsandberg3167 2 ай бұрын
@@Toolmaker001 That's what made me think of using a thread mill since most of the multi thread cutters can cut as close as half the width of the thread pitch......

@ericsandberg3167 I think most people don't realize this was totally designed around NC machining back in the day. Specifically designed for specific type of manufacturing process. Early days of cnc.

I really want to do one to. A friend brought over 2 GoPro's one day and I'm getting a little better at recording. So we know it's perfectly legal for me to do a lower from billet flat stock, So why not. I am feeling better since the hospital incident. I'm on a drug that's making a huge difference with moving the lungs. I feel good. Thanks.

I've cycled many-a-machine through my time in the military, and I could probably count on one hand the number of times I used the forward assist. And only ever in full auto, never semi- or even 3-round burst. I don't really see the need for it myself.

10x16. I only had 11' between the corner of the house and the neighbor's fence, and the yard not all that deep. So I thought they wouldn't be able to get a 20 footer into the back yard, then when I saw the dude whip the shed thru that small spot right where I wanted it, that's when I said damn he could have easily maneuvered a 20-footer into position. It was too late for another 4 feet.
