Manual pull doorbell in Somerville - a piece of history

This house in Somerville MA has an original working manual doorbell consisting of the pull knob, mortise crank, top crank, side crank, coil spring bell and check spring connected by a chain. This video shows how it works.

Well i live in europe (poland) and ive never seen anything like that, even in homes from 20s and 30s.
