Manuel Rodríguez is the grandson of flamenco guitarist Manuel Rodriguez Perez Marequi and son of classical luthier Manuel Rodríguez Perez. They have been making classical guitars in Spain for over 105 years. Lars Mullen caught up with Manuel at The UK Bass and Guitar at the ACC Liverpool last month to learn more. The guy with the long rock and roll hair doo, looks exactly like the great flamenco guitarist Manitas De Plata, The Gypsy Kings Father. Manuel Rodriguez Jr. is always the best ever person to have in any interview. Manuel Rodriguez Jr. is so educated with History, He brings his intellectual articulation to every conversation. His guitars History goes way back to Antonio Toress, The Founder. Outstanding Interview buy both. Need more follow up interviews.

I am about to buy a "Tesoro de Guinea Limba Negra A" from my local guitar dealer. I already plaved it (and other brands) for a few hours in that store. I go there again tomorrow for final testing and comparing.... My thumbnail is showing a MR e Hijos Mod A from the 90ies.

Just bought a beautiful MR model FC used. Unbelievably nice handmade guitar made in Toledo Spain. Just stomps alllllll over my high priced Cordoba. Volume, sustain. Overtones. Simply a joy to play. Talked to MR iii via email and he is genuinely a stand out owner/luthier. Buy his guitars, they are still made the old way and it shows with every note.

I bought inexpensive Manuel Rodriguez Model A guitar for our sea side apartment. It’s four times cheaper than my main Alhambra guitar but it is still very nicely made and sounds pretty decently.
