Excellent Tutorial, Jim... I haven't used sub-titles all that much, but now that I have watched this tutorial, I think I will use them more often now... Many thanks!

Thanks Jim, another very useful tutorial. This should improve the quality of my videos. I have used subs in the past, but probably not as much as I should have.

Interesting. Fyi, DJI drones automatically generate srt files when recording videos. These files show telemetry like altitude, speed and lat long info. Ive never used them, but i assume they could be imported as you'll explain in a future video.

I never knew that they recorded that information, Don. I have an Autel. It would be interesting to find out if it offers the same information. I'll have to get cracking on a supplemental video about importing SRT information. --Jim

Your tutorials are super helpful as I've only just started with Cyberlink Power Director 365. HOWEVER, I am trying to figure out how to use an existing title and edit it so I can use it for subtitles. Is this possible? If not, can I put a background color on subtitles? If so, HOW? Ugh, it should be easier than this to figure it out. Thanks for your help!.

Good questions. PowerDirector does not support putting a background behind subtitles. However, you can drag a color board to the timeline and put it on a lower track and the subtitle will appear in front of it. That will produce the same result. You can search this channel for 'color board' if you have not used that feature. You can use an existing title for any purpose you like, but it will not show as a subtitle if you post to KZbin or another platform. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions. --Jim

Do you have a video tutorial how to make your videos at 60 frames. I'm fairly new to this program I'm confused. How to export it to 60 frames? and The playback window how to make that 60 frames? Profiles and name quality is so confusing. Thank you
@SharperTurtle4 ай бұрын
Using 60 fps is advantageous if you want to show something in slow motion. 24 fps is standard for Hollywood. 30 fps is standard for television. If you put a video on your timeline and right click on it, you will see the properties. One of the values is the frames per second. To export your video as 60 fps, begin the export process by clicking on the "Export" button. There is a property in the export settings called "Frame Rate". It is a drop down from which you can select various values. One is 60. When you have done that you can click "Export" to finish the process. The output will be 60 fps. --Jim

Hi, I'm having a problem with positioning of the subtitles after they've been exported. A few of my subtitles I moved to the top of the screen so they wouldn't interfere with some hard-coded text at the bottom of the screen. But when I export an SRT file, everything is at the bottom. It doesn't seem to matter if I export with or without styling. Is there some option I'm missing?

I am seeing the same behavior. Even without exporting the universal changes in the position of the subtitles do not seem to be saved, but revert back to the prior location. This might be worth reporting to the Cyberlink Forum. --Jim

@@SharperTurtle I’ve been thinking about it. Seems some video players can’t accept text positioning. So maybe this feature is for hard coding subs? Guess it’s something I need to consider when making future videos.

I'm not sure why this is acting as it is. It could be intentional or a design bug. Only the development team would know for sure, I'm guessing. --Jim
