An immaculately-conceived performance of this incredible composition. At least, I think so. It was almost certainly the first recording of Falla's music I heard and you know what they say about first loves....

Another one of the great works. What in part makes it great? Being willing to listen to it again and then again and still be dazzled.

I wonder if the idea of a transition between the second and third movements was suggested by Debussy's use of a similar device in "Iberia"?
