I worked in a modern sheet metal fabrication company in Switzerland for almost a decade and I'm very certain that this work is top quality. These craftsmen are very skilled with their hammers and measuring some of the dimensions by their sharp eyes alone. They deserve all of their pay. You rarely find this level of skill with hand tools among people who work in modern industry. I would love to learn from these guys for a week.

Just look how great it is that these men have skills and jobs because these jobs were not automated or accomplished with far fewer workers by advanced machines. There is clearly a market for these products even though they are built by human hands.
@joker7301 Жыл бұрын
This is not true. Automated production of such boxes would require a lot of more men: 1 cad designer, 1 CNC programmer, 1 CNC machine operator, 2 assembly workers, 1 sales manager + 1 quality manager + 1 marketing specialist

@@joker7301I hate to break it to you but the CAD is only designed once per type of unit. You can also purchase these layouts. Second, most cnc programmers are also the operators, one man can assemble and QC. So you can get by with three men no problem and many shops do, while pushing out dozens of units a day.

If you could make these like Russian dolls, so one could nest in a larger one, so you could have 10 boxes in very little space, you could ship them to the west and get a decent price for them.

I appreciate your idea. This is the biggest problem of the people of Pakistan they do not know what is in demand in the West and how much revenue they can earn from this work. The people here are very skilled but due to the lack of support and awareness from the government, these people are not able to extend their business.

It doesn't look bad. But what is it for? I hope not for food, because galvanized steel is not intended for that. Zinc will react to the food. 8:25 Working with several sheets of material gives each one a different dimension. The second is the first plus its thickness. And so on... If steel is 0.5 mm then fourth is 1.5 mm larger each direction than first one. If they invest in a small 2 m long press brake, their work will be faster and less tiring.
