Very authentic video, it shows how hard, and dangerous racing is. It's good to see everybody out there... I love those modern tyres. From a 1960s racer here. God bless...

Fantastic race footage. Slow enough to see exactly what the rider was thinking, picking the lines and passing spots, catching in and through the corners and the frustration of just not having the punch out of them and down the straights. Thanks! I'd love a Manx. (one day!)

The Brands Hatch short circuit is a magnificent challenge of man and machine, and the Manx holds its own after all these years. Excellent POV video experience, obviously very enjoyable. Paddock Bend was known as 'the most dangerous bend in Europe' at one point and I actually witnessed a young rider break his neck and die there. Brands is classic, and hasn't changed since I rode there in 1966. Shame it isn't on the MotoGP calendar but that's all filled with the Tilke slot-car circuits.

Takes me back to the 90s as a kid, waking up to the smell of Castro R and bacon butties... the sound of engines and the tannoy calling for scrutineering. Mum and dad racing outfits at Brands, Cadwell, 3 sisters etc. Now I wish I could go back and appreciate the racing. Great video!

your corner entry speed, and mid-corner too was brilliant. I was actually in the race for a moment, on the edge of my seat here!!, I loved it. keep em coming. that motor sounds very healthy. I wish I could have actually been there. thank you.

Fabulous video! I circuit raced in the '80s but we always looked upon the Manx and other 500 singles racing as the pioneers. Thanks for sharing!

What a beautiful bike... I got to see one of these in Hershy, Pennslyvania today and i really fell in love with it. The craftsmenship that went into them are really unmatched by stuff they make today.

For some reason the 500 singles and 650 twins in the '60s looked and sounded so much more exciting...I built a 650 Triton in my bedroom in 1967 lol.

Wow this was more than 10 years ago👍🏻Good quality apart from the odd wavy effect. Lovely to see the vintage machines racing like they did back in the day. Needs to be done with a gopro in 2023 now! Please Sir👍🏻

That is just the way it is nowadays with noise regs...they sound a lot better with the original megaphones. I think at the TT they can use unsilenced machines, and they certainly can at the Philip Island Classic in Australia.

My friend told me his mate had bought a Manx, but couldn't get more than 45mph from it. He went down to the Tech Field in Dartford to watch him ride it. 'Ha, ha, ha. He didn't know you had to slip the clutch to get over the megaphoneitus' Tuned exhaust and inlet mean you get the power only at certain rev bands..

Michael, would you reveal recording secrets as to how you managed to record the sound of the motor -as it should be - and not the ambient wind -which usually spoils many video's? Did you have a separate microphone inside the fairing? Either way, great to watch and hear, thank you for sharing!

The thing about racing back in the sixties the bikes were pretty evenly matched in performance apart from those of the top tuners Petty,Beart,Francis which had a bit of an edge,of course top riders had these. But the rider could make a difference. My favourite Ron Chandler local boy

When you figure that most of owners of modern race replicas loaded with computers, fat sticky tires, powerful brakes and 200 Hp, if placed among these old things with 1/4 of the power, no brakes an mountain bike tires, would just be humiliated in every turning. Back in the day, pilots were fearless daredevils. The minimal weight does the rest (and yes, a modern pilot would destroy them, with a more recent bike, but it would take a professional, imo).
