Beautifully put into context. In the gospel, I felt bad for the one that wasn't appropriately dressed for the occasion. Not sure still if it warranted his treatment of being bound and thrown into hell, but that's kinda not the point in the context you provide. Thumbs up, thanks

Justifiedfreelybyhisgrace There's always gonna be ups and downs along with trials and tribulation but It never really bothers me too much, once you know God's word, you understand everything that happens whether its good or bad is only temporary, peace and joy comes when you know the truth and nothing can take that away. @@justinambrose4444 The blood and righteousness of Christ saves us. It cannot be earned or bought. However, obedience is evidence that Christ dwells in us and he is working in us. Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. If we truly have received Christ, a new creation will be made manifest in how we behave. The spirit of God will lead and guide us in the path of righteousness. Not that we will never make a mistake or mess up, but we will strive to live a Godly life. We do this, because we are thankful for what God did for us and now want to live a life that pleases and reveals his nature to others, in hope that they might be saved as well. I hope this answers your question a little bit. There is so many things to talk about in this area. Lol. Great question. God bless you and keep you. If you want to talk more, feel free to message me. Great video. About predestination, people find that hard to accept like you said hell. In my studies, there are several views of predestination because its unavoidable as it's all throughout scrpture. The Arminian view is that he didn't just want anyone in hell but he foreknew like he watched it as a movie and saw already how or who would accept God. I kind of accept that Arminian view that God already knows which isn't hard to accept. I dont think he destined anyone to hell but he just knew. I wouldnt say Im chosen, a bit prideful, but Iam confident enough to say Im saved by the blood of Jesus - who by HIS Mercy and Grace saved me! And yes I became born again, a new creation.....disciple of the Lord. And yes Jesus is my Lord and Savior- I do boast in this. If not, I forget the gift that was given to me, I forget to carry my cross, I forget how I was redeemed and the price that Jesus paid. I forget to deny the things of this world. I forget to repent, and humble myself. I would not shy from this, or hide it...you must proclaim HIS gift. When you declare Jesus Christ publicly, you are putting yourself on notice....live it, be truthful, be real in the LORD, and not be a hypocrite, and boast while living a double life.....so announcing your salvation keeps you in line, and it reminds you that lip service only will put you in hell. I think your video is spot on, but I disagree about NOT boasting in Jesus and your salvation.....Never wrong to boast in Jesus and the gift of salvation that he gave us.....it enlightens others to know more about his experience, question it or even challenge us. It's part of our testimony. I do enjoy your videos.

I see there are a lot of once saved always saved and Calvinists here. Not trying to blanket everyone, but it appears from many of the comments that is the case. We cannot decipher this text through the eyes of our doctrine. You need the word of God decoder. That is the Holy Spirit. Lloyd Brown makes a very plain observation from the text. It does not say all are called but many. The many it's talking about in the text are the ones who responded to the Gospel or the ones who came in. Those who came into the door of being justified by Grace through Faith. The chosen are those who kept there wedding garments white and pure as a virgin. Jesus expounds on this verse in Revelation 3:4-5 "4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. 6Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Also read Matthew 7:13-23 What Jesus is saying is with the exception of only a few everyone who gets saved will not remain saved. There are three different tenses of the word saved in the bible. There is past tense, present tense and future tense. Those who show up with their deposit of the Holy Spirit will be let into the kingdom. We get saved to remain saved. Also John 15:1-8 "1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes2 3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." It doesn't matter where you were at one time ago with the Lord it matters where you are at right now with Jesus. The worst possible thing that can happen is to lose your fear of the one who can throw both body and soul into hell and stop walking by faith that is the obedience that comes from faith. Romans 1:5 Also read Luke 8:13 "13Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. 14The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature." That is what are thousands of different church denominations are doing to us they are not allowing us to mature in the word. And they are what divides us. Get out of false church doctrine and get into the word of God with the power of the Holy Spirit. The devil took over the true church by force (Catholicism) by the Grace of God people broke away from the Catholic church and the reformation began. But from that event came every wild wind of doctrine. Now there are thousands of different church denominations who all say they are speaking the truth. The Lord said this would happen in the last days. That the deception would even deceive the elect if that could be possible. We need to stay vigilante and know that no matter what you believe the only thing that will matter in the end is what Jesus says on the Day of Judgement. And know that it will be Good Right Just and Holy. Flee from your sin like it's the Plague. Cast it far from you. Do NOT make up excuses for it. And Do not call Good Evil and Evil Good. Cry out to God for mercy in your time of need. John 3:16 has been mistranslated. Here is what it should say: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that who so ever should go on believing in him should not perish but receive everlasting life". I pray for all who read this will receive discernment from the Holy Spirit.

Cory Sessler, excellent review. It seems that salvation is righteousness. That is, being saved out of slavery to sin. Jn. 8:31-36. Sin shall no longer have dominion over you. Rom 6:14. So if we believe Christ is the Son of God, etc..., but don't believe He can save us out if bondage to sin, and thus continue to walk in sin and the flesh, we will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19- 21 . Anyway, your summary says it all very well.

I believe the parable of the wedding banquet, describes Israel rejecting the prophets, and rejecting Christ. Then the messengers went out and brought the Gospel to the gentiles. The person who did not have the garment, was the one who did not have the Holy Spirit. The ones fit for the kingdom are the Jews that accept Jesus and the Gentiles who accept Jesus. It is a brief summary of the old testament to what Jesus was doing during his time on earth followed by the start of the church.

Who are the called in Matthew 22:14? Context is important, so lets start with the context. Context, Christ is teaching a parable. And it is at the end of the parable that he says " for many are called but few are chosen" so this phrase to be properly understood, it must not be separated from the parable. I have heard many a preacher rip this verse out of its context. So lets begin with the parable. Jesus begins the parable by explaining that there is a king who is preparing to have a celebration for his son's wedding. He sends his servants to call those who are "invited" but they would not come. So he tries again to get these individuals who are invited to the wedding, to come. But again they would not come. They made light of the situation. Some of them didn't care so they went their way. But those that were left treated the king's servants harshly and killed them. The king finds out and sends his army to destroy them and burns their City down. Afterwards he commands his servants to go out and invite as many as they find to the wedding. So the servants gather together as many as they found, both bad and good and the wedding was filled with guests. But when the king came to see his guest, he noticed that there was a man who is not wearing the wedding garment. And so the king asked him, "how did you come here not having a wedding garment?" The man is speechless . So the king commands his servants to tie him by his feet and his hands and to cast him away into outer Darkness, were there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. It is in this context that Jesus ends his parable with the words "for many are called but few are chosen." So who are the called of the parable? I would say everyone, both Jews and Gentiles. It is the general call to come to the marriage. In verses 1-8 those called were the ones that originally were "bidden" to come to the wedding. The greek word καλέω kaleō translated "them that were bidden" is defined by Strongs greek lexicon as- to invite; properly: εἰς τούς γάμους, Matthew 22:3, 9; Luke 14:8; John 2:2; to a feast, Luke 14:16; 1 Corinthians 10:27 . In this case it refers to those the king invited properly to the wedding. Who i believe refers to the Jews. So the king invites these to the wedding of his son, but they reject him three times and the last time they kill those sent to call them. This to me sounds much like the Jews who murdered the Prophets. So the king avenges the death of his servants and destroys the city of these evil people. This sounds a lot like the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 AD. Which would identify these individuals which were originally bidden to the wedding as the Jews. After destroying these disobedient individuals. The king then sends his servants together as many as they can for the wedding. Seeing that those who were originally "bidden"- properly invited we're not worthy. So from verses 9 down I believe it is referring to the Gentiles who were not originally "bidden" (properly invited) to the wedding. So the servants gather together as many as they can for the wedding feast. And when the King goes to see his guests he finds that one of them is not wearing the wedding garments that obviously have been assigned and provided by him. Some preachers refer to the wedding garment as the righteousness of Christ. Which would make sense. So this individual does not have the proper clothes on and when asked about it, he is left speechless. So the king orders that he be tied up and cast into outer Darkness. Utter Darkness must refer to hell. Where there will be "crying and gnashing of teeth". So this individual that was at the wedding feast was kicked out because he did not have what the king had provided which were the garments. This speaks volumes to the fact that we are to seek the kingdom of God on his terms. and so Jesus ends this Parable by saying that "many are called but few are chosen". Meaning that both Jews and Gentiles are called but only few, those who have entered the wedding feast on the king's terms are the chosen. So this text is speaking of the external call of God. Which is done by preachers and pastors and is too all both Jews and gentiles. But it is not speaking of the inner effectual call which is clearly taught by Paul in Romans 8:30 and 1 Corinthians 1:23-24f. "Therefore whom he predestined these he also CALLED and whom he called these he also Justified and he justified these also glorified." Romans 8:30. "But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." 1 Corinthians 1:23-24.
