Many fans are CONCERNED about Star Wars: Hunters... Should we be?

I'm more concerned about the awful matchmaking in ranked mode. What's the point of having ranks if they aren't separated at all? How is it okay to have a team of 3 bronze and a chromium face a team of 3 kybers and an aurium? That's not fun for anyone involved.

I agree, I think that's mostly to do with the small player base available with the soft launch though. Once global launch is here, there should be more than enough players that the matchmaking is much stricter 99% of the time 🙏

@@SammyBoiiiSW if the player base isn't large enough for ranked, don't implement ranked matches. Companies don't get a pass for poor business decisions either (assuming that is the case and not just poor/no matching requirements). If that really is the case, ranked wasn't added until May 1st 2024, they should have waited the extra month, rather than putting a broken system in early and then asking for feedback on said broken system which is just moronic.

@@wilson6448 I got the date from an article talking about how the game had just added ranked. Even still this game had how many battle passes before ranked was added clearly is wasn't imperative to add, especially with broken matchmaking.

@@DarBowsong yeah I agree with you, just clarifying is all. I’m guessing they added it in right before launch just to test some things, like ranking points working as expected- but the actual matchmaking has been horrible and frustrating

game needs to come out on XBOX and PS, even if its free to play and pay for characters or something, getting in on those gamers will be the key to long lasting success and hopefully additional funding to expand on the game more.

Rank play hurts if someone picks who you want to play, then goes afk or leaves it just an automatic loss. Do they get punished for going afk or leaving?

Looking forward to it and appreciate your coverage of the game. I will most likely grab this for Switch and pay the $4 a month for Nintendo online or whatever its called. Your controller idea on the phone isn't a bad idea either. If mobile is free and Switch is asking for $50-70, easy choice there.

I think the game looks good and will be playing it my self. Ive played all star wars games. It concerns me that launch dates have been pushed back even if that is to make the game better. There's no extensive marketing campaign for it apart from the occasional small clips. Feels like we have been waiting ages for it. Theres not much information/ videos about the road map, hero releases etc and has huge competition with Marvel Rivals. I just feel that we keep getting promised star wars games only for them to be cancelled or don't last long.... 1313, the Maul Game, OG Battlefront 3, The open world bounty Hunter game, outpost? Even now with the newest star wars games having a huge price point and pay walls.... just feels that star wars gaming is not in a good place.

@@stesimons512 I got ya..yeah making a game using someone else's IP is tricky business. They take like 25% of your profits and with the way the Star Wars franchise has been these days the game has to be good of it's own merit. Can't rely on it just being Star Wars anymore. Don't get me wrong I've loved Star Wars since I saw A New Hope in the theaters when I was 7 but not everything they have released has been good. Not that I don't still watch it :)

I just hope this goes to mobile than mobile and switch. It’s still good we got this, and xdefiant coming out and than the marvel game later to help shake up the market and the genre
