There are wonderful young helpers out there. I've always had an issue getting on escalators. The first time I went to the mall after the pandemic in 2023, I found myself in this situation. I can do it it just takes me a minute. A very nice young lady asked if I needed assistance and did help me. It was so nice and she was just wonderful. I was very grateful for her help. I had completely forgotten about having this issue.

The very same thing happened to me. I was 70. I was out with my daughter shopping, we needed to take the escalator down. We were talking side by side. She got on while I froze in fear. I just yelled to her going to take the elevator. I’m still that way now at 74. I can get on if it’s going up, with another person, but not if it’s going down. I really don’t know what’s happened to me. Bless that man who recognized his need and helped him. Very kind and generous of spirit. God is always watching us. ♥️♥️🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

I have gotten caught in the escalator many times in a row or fallen. I was terrified of them and still don’t like them. My pants were pinched so I couldn’t move or get off and was on the ground screaming and taking off my pants in public. Everyone mocked me even when my life was in danger & being injured. Its amazing I can get on an escalator because it happened again with my heel on my pumps. And the movement of trying to pick a step and stay while it moves knocked me down repeatedly. I also had people push me down the escalator on purpose. They are horrible things. But I had to manage them at a job & became better at it & if I have to I will use them. I never had anyone be kind or helpful. Never. This video made me cry. 😂 I’m very emotional about good people because there are so few of us. I’m glad he was the one rewarded.

I understood this man's fear, even if he was acting.I have 2 replaced knees. Sometimes they do not work as I imagine they will. Escalators are scary, even steps.
