This expression can happen to anyone and anywhere. including Putri Ariani who is currently popular because of her participation in America's Got Talent 2023. lots of praise from home and abroad. but quite a few oblique comments were addressed to him. one example is as posted on reddit.

I saw a post below saying agt is rigged and it totally is. Simon gave her the golden buzzer for mediocre singing just because shes disabled and has a sob story. I promise you if she was “normal” she would’ve BEEN out of the competition!

Simon wouldve never hitten that golden buzzer if it werent for her condition. Just like how kodi lee got a golden buzzer but there were many amazing performers that year too.
