Look at her this sophisicated dress ! She looks great in red ! Her performance is so polished as well . Mao's exhibition program is always beautiful. Her posture is so beautiful and very balletic on ice. She is so inspiring skater ever ! Majority of Japanese female skaters are great athlete, but aren't pretty and not graceful but Moa has everything as a world class skater . She retired her competitive career ... Miss her performance on ice ! I wish all the best to Mao as professional skater.

Totally agree. She's my favorite skater for years. Her skating always wins me over. Tbh I much prefer her skating over YuNa (no offense to YuNa, she's very technically skilled) but I always rewatch Mao's skating. Also, people who say Mao has no gold are dumb af. Mao is one of the few women in the world who has more than 1 gold world medal.

Let’s celebrate Mao’s 27th birthday! It was sad to know that she had lost the passion to continue competing as a skater, but at the same time I felt like relieved, knowing that I would not worry about her security any more both in physical and emotional. I still have huge emptiness in my heart but she is filling that space with different way and I ‘m so happy and looking forward to what she is going to do. Hope she continues skating and showing us her beautiful performance as much as she can although there are many videos of her skating we can enjoy like this one. I’m glad that I’m her fan. I will always support her.

I don't think she has lost her passion. She's getting old and physically unable to compete at such elite level anymore. She still loves skating a lot, look at her ice shows :)

@@lamcy1731 She has not lost her passion for skating, of course, and continues to skate while taking care of her health. She started her own ice shows after she retired, 90-120 minute ice shows, and she's been in most of them!
