this looks more intense from the NK side than from the SK side. this officer doesn't look any happy to be there and seem to not want to be there at all , specially having some American faces Infront of him

Stationed near there in the early 60s. It was never a pleasant place to visit. You really need to be well behaved and very alert. Be careful where you walk

I met a retired United States Army Sergeant First Class who was stationed at the DMZ. He mentioned to me that it can be an intense and dangerous place to be. You have to be vigilant at all times, being you don't know what could happen. It's a similar thing in the old West Berlin that was controlled by the American, French, and British troops. East Berlin was under Soviet control, and there was the Berlin wall.

No, all buildings in the peace village aside from the main one are maintained by UN forces.

Yes. Samsung is a Korean company that predates the partition of Korea. They invested in the Kaesong area in North Korea too.

StickManGamer but the North Korean soldiers actually entered the Blue building
@Pluggero6 жыл бұрын
The blue buildings are united nations buildings and the grey ones are north korean buildings. The area is owned by both countries, so both nation's soldiers can enter that one UN building.

The building is owned by the United Nations not North Korea. Plus they probably have no idea that Samsung is a South Korean brand

The North Korean officer looks like he couldn't complete 5 good pull ups. Then again, he looks like he weighs 125 lbs; so not a lot of weight to pull up in the first place. That hat could be bigger, too. Is he hiding his family under that thing, or maybe a intelligence officer? Apparently they ran out of little guy clothes, and he received some big boy hand-me-downs.
