You gotta place the mic in a position where it can pick up both sounds ... but yes this mic is not suited for voice far away from mouth as it is not like a condensor microphone

Actually with mic there is good voice of urs and less of guitar and without mic there is some decrement of ur voice and guitar sounds more

That's because the camera mic is faced in front of both the singer and the guitar ...and the Moana mic is faced behind the guitar and facing the singer ...though the mic is omni the guitar voice is traveling further far from the mic and not behind the mic...so the mic cannot capture it nicely...but it can capture the voice...so the singing sounds better and the guitar sounds bad
