MAONO AU-A03 Condenser Microphone Unboxing & Review

Hello, my name is Kim and today I review my new Maono AU-A03 Condenser Microphone!
The Maono AU-A03 is actually a condenser microphone that is designed for podcasting and livestreaming. I have planned streaming since last year but I will be using this mic for my future youtube videos as well.
At first glance, it looks really professional in addition to its minimalist design. In case you are wondering, the materials used for this kit are mostly metal and not just some cheap flimsy plastic counterpart.
For three weeks of usage up to now, this microphone still impresses me on its audio quality that it picks up and get this --- I don't even need phantom power on this one. I immediately learned to enjoy recording, it literally made me feel like a dj or some sort haha. No worrying about unwanted white noise because the foam cap and pop filter do their job well. Best thing about this kit? The cables. It has an XLR-to-3.5mm audio cable which means you literally have to just plug it in your 3.5mm device and boom! you got a working professional microphone. But you have an integrated audio jack? No problem! Because it comes with its own Y-Adapter that let's you separate the Mic-In and the Speaker-Out slots.
Oh and did I forgot to say it's only around 2,000 PHP? Yeah, no kidding. So unless you are working on some very professional audio project, why not consider buying this awesome mic right here!

Yes, I like the review. It showed the viewer how to assemble the microphone, which most reviewers that I've seen, cuts that portion and just gets on with the audio testing. I was impressed with the assembly even if it's already in the manual or it's something very basic. I thank you for including that part of reviewing a microphone.

Hey bro. I have bought this mic recently. I have two doubts regarding the quality. 1. The mic's head and body are twisting a little, I found this while putting the foam cap on the mic. So is that normal or a defect? 2. The XLR cable is really hard to plug in and out. Is it normal or another defect? Sorry, this is my first ever condenser mic so kindly help me.

Yes you can switch to an XLR to XLR cable, it just so happened na XLR to 3.5 lang ang default nya.

You need a third party software to do the audio processing for you. The physical filters on the mic can do its job but if you really are aiming for the pristine clear recorded audio, you may use the OBS audio filters + Voicemeeter banana.

If you are using windows. Make sure your windows notifications are on (the one you see at the bottom right). Then plug in the jack and you will see a prompt what kind of device you just installed. Choose Microphone so that it is a one-way audio device (input).

Are you trying to hear back your audio in real-time as you record? What I did was record through OBS, for me it has a better feedback system whenever I tried to actively hear what the mic receives.

Yes! Bago ko napiling bilhin itong mic na ito, marami na akong nakitang gumagamit nito for their podcasts and song covers. Di mo na need ng sound card, plug and play talaga dahil 3.5mm na agad ang kanyang audio jack. Smartphone, laptop, PC or even DSLR goods yan. Choice is yours if need mo ng sound card for extra audio processing.

For voicemeeter, it really is very custom made for my room to counter the white noise and unnecessary reverb. But here's mine, Fader gain: -6.6dB Audibility: 1.5 IntelliPan: I put the red box just on the left of the mid-line (horizontally) and the top of the red box aligns with the center of the mid-line (vertically)
