MAONO AU-PM461TR vs Blue Yeti Comparison and Review 2021

Here is a review and comparison of the MAONO AU-PM461TR vs the Blue Yeti to find out which condenser microphone kit is better. The microphones are both affordable plug and play usb condenser microphones. However the PM461TR is much less expensive than the Blue Yeti. So I am conducting this comparison to determine if the Blue Yeti is worth the difference in price or not. Let me know what you think!

I got the MAONO AU-PM461TR based on your review and comparisons. I have it installed on a boom mic arm stand and equipped it with a shock mount and pop filter. I don't have a physical audio mixer so I use Voicemeeter Banana and OBS Reaper plugins to significantly improve audio and reduce background noise. It sounds much better than a $20 mic when you add all those refinements to it. 😎

The unwanted noise comes from the cable, the stands is actually really good but be careful with the cable that connects to the mic as it vibrates and causing unwanted noises.

The main thing about the maono is that it is really sensitive to shocks (taps on the table). Also a bit of noise floor. Other than that it seems great.

Does Maono pickup too much surround noise? I'm planning to buy one but there's a lot noise in my surrounding like passing vehicles or fans/ac, it's annoying cuz I want my voice like raw clean without adding any filters

Hi, you may have already seen my response on your other comment, but I will paste it again here just in case, "Maono has recently released different packages of the PM461. So the PM461TR comes with the tripod desk stand, the PM461S comes with the boom arm, the PM461TS comes with the tripod stand and a wind screen. They are all the same mic, except they come with different accessories. If you saw on that is called just the PM461, I'm guessing that maybe that one does not come with any accessories"

Yeah with the OTG adapter right? Yeah it will work and no with USB mics you don't need to worry about phantom power
