I remember Padre Marsden driving up the driveway on a scooter just before Colours at HMNZS Tamaki and giving us a wave and a smile as he came aboard. Thank you padre for your service.

Awesome korero - I'm a 2nd language Maori speaker and somehow, for some reason I often find the old school native speakers relatively easy to understand. It's not only the kupu and phrases they used but also the rhythm and cadence of their speech just lends itself to being understood clearly. Ka mau te wehi!
