Map of India and Southern Asia [ASMR]

In this relaxing ASMR maps video I am looking at an atlas of India and Southern Asia on a paper map and doing some map tracing using a bamboo stick pointer. This is an ASMR ramble about World history and geopolitics with an atlas of India & Southern Asia.
I am speaking in a male deep voice with a Welsh accent and switch between soft spoken and whisper voice. Today we look at India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and more.

Great video, it’s nice to see you cover the subcontinent! Love the way u trace the map with the pointer, it’s a great visual trigger 🙏 And the independence thing regarding Punjab that you mentioned has to do with certain separatist Sikhs, not Muslims, who wanted a separate nation under their religious rule. As of now it’s kinda split, since most Sikhs don’t identify with the movement but there is a significant minority that do.

New Delhi is the capital of India; Delhi is the larger city/territory including and surrounding New Delhi. Awesome video! Also, Sri Lanka used to be known as Ceylon I believe

Correction - The borderline area you said is Punjab is wrong, Its another state of India called Rajastan. Also there is no freedom movement from the Punjab region gaining independence, Its a separatist movement called Khalistan, your Punjabi friend is a Khalistani. Punjab’s majority population is Sikh not muslim. Punjab is an integral part of India (same as Kashmir and Aksai Chin)

The pronunciation of "Myanmar" is intended to follow standard British pronunciation, with the final "R" being silent (lengthening the last "A"). The name was written with the assumption that English speakers were using that type of accent. It comes from the native name which might also be written "myamma"

The small slither of India between Nepal and Bhutan is called Sikkim. It became an Indian protectorate in 1950 and a state in 1975. It had a feudal system all the way to 1949.
