A boardwalk could be an alternative to a sandy beach. Also the sand could be explained that it doesn’t impede there movement but it makes repair more difficult. So no in game effects to worry about.

quick question: is it just me or does every new weapon seem to deal like 30-40% more damage per mag than the last? The weapons are definitely getting exponentially more powerful, which isnt always a good thing. Disruptors deal like 70% of my best mech's HP in direct hits and 50% in non-direct but splash damage hits, and frag guns deal like 80% of my best mech's HP in one hit and those are RARE RANK! if the weapons are getting exponentially more powerful, maybe stop increasing it? A unique weapon with lower damage will still sell good, because it's unique and fun to use even with low damage. You dont need every new weapon to outperform the last one, thats what War Robots, your competitor did, and look at them, their community is in shambles unable to decide if they should be angry at the devs or creators. You guys dont want that, so avoid the steps they took (releaseing overpowered equipment designed only to outperform the last one, then nerfing it) and you will be the better mech game. Theres limitless possibilities for new weapons, there could be a flamethrower, an ACTUAL chain gun (one that ricochets between mechs instead of being basically just a better autocannon), a shock-based weapon, damage-over-time effect focused weapons. Heck even combining some of these ideas will result in a weapon absolutely worth buying even if it has extremely low base damage simply because it would be fun to find a playstyle with or figure out the best mech to combo it.
