A couple of options, the 18 & onwards/ VAs STI had the RA block, stronger, also it’s worth noting for any package, Bader (yt channel) some others are pushing these to 600wheel reliably. If buying second a performance upgrade that’s cheap, is change your brake fluid and clutch fluid, I use Motul, I just did both and amazed at how much bith improved over the OG fluids, it was due, with hydraulic systems it’s really important and overlooked how fluids affect reliability and performance. Basics first, when ai buy a second hand car, I always do all fluids as a rule, also important on a AWD is doing your rear diff, check your CVs re pack with grease, main diff and front is done when you do gearbox fluid in a MT. Also really important for a Subi is coolant dont mix brands, again I use Motul, Subaru specific is rec, but the only 2 I trust in my Subis. Enjoying the builds 🤘

You will want a 2019-2021 sti. They have a type RA short block in them. Able to handle a bit more power before needing a built block.

@Samuel Dubb well bader built had 812 whp on a stock block type ra. So there is that 🤷♂️
@ranran22183 жыл бұрын
@Samuel Dubb na taylordtuning is right over 740 whp on stock block. Jr tuned has one over 800 whp also. They are all having a competition to see what's the most they can get and baders wife daily drives the type ra. When you listen to the experts on these cars and follow a proven mod path you can have great success and as good of reliability as possible for having a modified car but most people buy cheap parts and want to cut corners and that's why you see so many messed up subarus.

@Samuel Dubb tell that to Porsche

Not trying to start anything. But its not the motor type, its the design by the manufacturers. Subarus downfall will always be the unequal length headers, you swap those out and reliability soars. Porsche and vw have used the boxer and had great success. Look at the new FA subaru came out with, its one of the most solid built motors and loves making power

Mine is the black 2015 LIMITED sti. I would lower mine but I find it hard to find a limited even close to that price. Appreciate you showing my ad though!

Also you should’ve shown the paint on mine. Fresh buff and it’s BEAUTIFUL. Subaru has awesome factory paint.

I been waiting for this for weeks, And you absolutely didn't disappoint !!! 👏 As always ✌ + ❤ MAPerformance! We all know that you could have easily squeezed another one or two out of that bottle. But ya took it like a soldier. And if you guys are building an STI WRX comparison keep that bottle close. It'll help the healing.

Get a STI 2019 and up they can make upwards of 700hp and 600tq with full bolt ons and turbo. Don't even have to touch the internals at all. This all new thou so we currently don't know the longevity of it

Well, if you bought the STi to be the ultimate street killer, you bought the wrong car. As long as you keep expectations in check and understand the STi is a road car with some extra potential, you'll do just fine. If you want to be a trend setter, just realize parts thrown at the car may not get you where you want to go w/o other supporting parts. Be thrifty in your parts selection and the damage to your wallet shouldn't be too bad. Have a plan, stick to it.
