Mapisa-Nqakula calls on Mkhwebane to file formal complaint

National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has called on suspended Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane to file a formal complaint after she claimed that the Parliamentary hearing investigating her fitness for office is corrupt. Mkhwebane alleges that three Members of Parliament tried to extort a bribe from her, in order to drop the inquiry. The speaker has called on Mkhwebane to approach the Joint Ethics Committee and to privately discuss her claims with her.
A case has since been opened with the police.

Mkwebane cannot be allowed to choose the Chairperson in her case and should,in this case, be charged with trying to taint the names of Majodina and Djanti.

In all material Mkhwebane has saved her retirement package. The politicians did manage to keep her out of hhovice, thats their only win but at a huge expense in terms of reputation and moolah. There could have been so much drama from that hhovice though. The enquiry has spent lots of money and delivered fokoro. Mkhwebanes defense attorneys have been smiling to the bank whilst the saga/circus/drama continues.

From the display this actor has already presented gives one goose flesh. She is the most unbelievable person who has stretched this enquiry to the absolute limits and now she comes up with people trying to bribe her via a third party. At the end of the day she needs to pay back every cent that she has been paid to date as well as all court costs. She is a very sore loser with too much knowledge. Put her in jail that’s where she belongs. Check out her lawyer how he has shed his old treads like a moth from all the $$$$ he has earned so far.

The ANC has a reputation of protecting corruption, De Ruyter is an example. He was threatened with court action for whistleblowing on Eskom corruption. Why are threats aired before an investigation?

@Thulani James Malinga De Ruyter was never threatened. He is taken to court for refusing to share the information he claims to have given to the Hawks, which hawks says they haven't received such information from him. He's being forced through court to bring out the information he claims to know. Just as an example, When Arthur Fraser got information about Phala Phala he laid an official criminal complaint against Cyril and shared the information which was later given to other institutions, including parliament which later forces Cyril to provide to all those institutions. So the question is, where are De Ruyter official complaint submissions? Why has De Ruyter been to share his submissions with all institutions like Arthur Fraser?

Why should ANC ask Deruyter to give them names of corrupt ANC Officials in Escom saga ?The Party should investigate ,by asking Deruyter they are putting him at risk.I wouldnt give names if i were him too.

@@willie2036 Please do engage in a conversation if you don't follow things properly. De Ruyter accuses the party but refused to give the information he was referring. De Ruyter claim to have given the hawks evidence but until today there's no submission containing his evidence is found anywhere. The point is simple De Ruyter must provide the ANC with the evidence because there's no investigation carry out in the air without information leading such a process. When Arthur Fraser accuses Cyril did not do media interviews or wrote a book, he took steps required by law and openly laid a criminal complaint so investigation could be conducted but De Ruyter who happens to be a lawyer can not do that,

@Willie You are becoming desperate now. How did the anc faction supported and procted Fraser? Did any of those anc members' names featured in Fraser's affidavit when he officially brought out the story? Or you are here assuming with conspiracy theories. If De Ruyter was concerned with his safety, he shouldn't given the information selectively to one institution but refused others the same details, because it looks he lied because even the hawks didn't confirm his story so where than did he gave his evidence?

Who attempted to bribe Mkwebane again and how? That's a serious allegations that has to be channeled to the office of the PP for investigation but when would Mkwebane lay an official complaint to that effect? Or is this another ploy of planting unsubstantiated stories through to taint the process and muddy the water and eventually drag and delay the entire proceeding by buying time?

@lungile Adams I took note of your labeling. Can you now answer at least one of the questions I posted. Why didn't Mkwebane not lay a complaint of breach of ethics with those she alleges of extortion? By the way, what is included in police investigation as evidence as per your knowledge since you are confirming the police case? Please do the honors and enlighten me about the case.
