Simon seems like the perfect choice for a goofy pick your gap thing. Maybe Eagle to join him as well. Edit: I was scorekeeping one of the rounds and got SMOKED by an acorn in the middle of someone's throw and took everything in me to keep quiet.

Good stuff and good concept. Maybe try a similar game where you alternate players choosing the tee pads and baskets and gaps, then everyone else has to hit the same gap (mandos)?

Yes, I was there watching yall at the MVP open. I was getting destroyed by acorns so bad that I had to leave the woods and just watch on the bleachers at hole 18. Then I started getting hit by stray discs and mini pies 😂

Love it! Simon does seem to be the obvious choice, but I think you should bring on AB and McBeast to do the 4-man version.

I like this concept, looks fun. Maybe bring a laser pointer to pick your gaps for the camera? Either way, good work!
@crabinator18956 күн бұрын
I don't know if it would show up on camera or even in person but especially if you go up to a 4 player challenge a laser pointer might be useful to declare your gaps. The kings of hitting lines Isaac and Ezra Robinson would be cool to see.

Rule mod suggestion: Hit the gap off the tee (only) or take a stroke penalty and play from your lie. And the gap is still open for the opponent. This eliminates the discussion of whether the other can take the gap. A gap is closed once hit, not called. Also, if you hit a closed gap, take a two-stroke penalty - one for not hitting your called gap and one for hitting a closed gap. Just a thought.

When playing with 4 people maybe allow a different shot, but through the same gap if there are legitimately not 4 gaps available. Say on hole 8 here, if the 3rd person went dead at it, they'd have to do a flex forehand or something. Just an idea, anyways looking forward to the next one as always. Keep up the great content :)

Use a high powered laser pointer to show everyone which trees you are picking! Should be the move next time. They work really well in the day light. I second Simon as another player pick and Calvin

Simon 100% since he is the master of strange lines, and Eagle with him. Maybe do this on yours and Ezra's channel then a double battle on Simon and Eagles channel?

Great video! I just have to say, hole 1 was not a spit out. High left brushing out of the chains is a typical reaction. This is why I think the complaint about consistency with catches is way overblown, especially this year. You are always going to get the egregious dead center spit outs occasionally, and the miss Goose had on 1, well that is expected when you are putting right handed and hit high left tbh. No basket is going to remedy the unmeasurable variable outcomes of a plastic disc contacting chains. Love you guys, just making an observation on a hot button conversation this year.

Another suggested rule variation: player with the box picks a tree, second player gets to pick left or right side of that tree, first player then has to play to the opposite side. Might make the rules and shot selection more straightforward and easier to follow.

I think you should do this with more people, but you should identify the gaps before anyone chooses one, some of the picks seemed kind of questionable from a viewer perspective, like there were 3 gaps in 1. Also from an editing perspective it would be nice to add in a little highlited action over the gap so we can tell exactly where you’re aiming for

Hole 7. Goose misses the gap and Ezra shoots a different gap to force Goose to have to play his original gap. Keep strokes the same. New rule or maybe yall said that
@NickCarroll6 күн бұрын
Try this challenge: the loser picks the lie, and any mandos. So whatever the order is, the person last in order chooses the tee or lie to throw from. The baskets for each hole define the hole. But the tee can be anywhere within reason. Either a tee is created, or a lie. So 2 discs define the front edge of tee, or a disc or mini is used to determine the lie. The tee or lie doesn’t have to be in bounds, but it can’t be in brush, or in an unsafe location, or off the property. This can be a good way for the underdog to have more chances in a round.
