The Maple Hill Trail is is a dedicated mountain bike trail (MTB) located on the West Side of Markin Glen Park, and features nearly five miles of mostly machine built singletrack. Riders can look forward to banked turns, tabletops, jumps, and rock features. Most features are designed to be rollable at slow speeds for beginner riders, but reward intermediate and advanced riders who hit them at higher speeds. There's a surprising amount of climbing and grade for West Michigan, but long descents are the reward. The trail is well signed and alternates directions depending on the day of the week. A changing station, drinking water, pavilion, bike parking, and restroom are available at the trailhead.

If you haven’t yet, you need to check out Warnaar Trail in Three Rivers, MI. They’ve put a lot of work into it this year. It’s the closet trail to me and we love it.

I haven’t been there yet. Maybe I’ll be able to get over there before the season is over.

Lol. I was thinking the same thing as you riding the Saturday direction. Would be nice if the downhill trails were always downhill with a separate climb trail or two. I'm guessing that the intent was to treat Maple hill as an XC loop given the limited mileage.

Haha.. yea, probably feels like the other direction is always the better direction. I agree that designated downhill would be fun. White oak mountain in Chattanooga has that. Multi direction on their XC trails but there’s two downhill jump lines that are one way.

Nice video! I am new to KZbin (kinda) and wondering if you have any advice for my videos? Thanks!

I'm no pro at this. Looks like you have over 1k subscribers already so you're doing something that people like. Just look at other channels videos with more subscribers and views than you and compare your videos. How do they word their titles? Are they making dedicated thumbnails? What keeps them engaged once they click on the video? If you want people finding your content, don't just title the video "DH run" and have no context in the thumbnail. Instead of that try to be more engaging in the title. This is an example "Fastest time yet on Talladega Nights DH Trail at Windrock Bike Park" -- or give a name to the downhill trail your riding so people can find it and know what you're riding. These are all things I can better at too.. but these are things that I saw make a big improvement.

Ultimately, your videos still need to be engaging once viewers find your video. They might find it and click on it, but if it's holding their attention, they'll leave and won't come back.
