JT is an absolute boss in every way. I understand why Matthews was given the "C," but JT still feels like the de-facto captain of this team. I might get flak for saying it, but I’m not convinced Matthews is fully captain material just yet. Credit to the team for battling back from 3-1-I’ll admit, I turned the TV off, but they proved me wrong. Back-to-back losses to the Wings and Sabres would’ve been brutal; the doomers would’ve had a field day on Monday 🤣 GLG!

Berube is using him very well. He plays him in front of the net so that he can save his energy because he's an older player. Players like Matthews, marner, nylander, do most of the hard work, while tavares mostly stays in front and uses his skill to catch loose pucks, tip pucks in, screen the goaltender, etc

Huge comeback win, but what a slow start again...that was worse than vs Detroit all 3 goals Hildeby should have had no doubt especially letting Quinn beat him blocker side twice he did not look confident, the 3rd line looked amazing in McMann's second game back Robertson being scratched and Domi just coming back as well. They had chances all night finally our bottom 6 scores 2 of the 5 goals great plays and chances by them 2 points for all of them. Then Tavares taking control right after to seal the win he looked filthy out there he could have had 5 goals, was so happy they weren't deflated when it was 3-1 Buffalo cause the Leafs were all over them
