Yes it is! It didn’t take long and I was hooked! It helps me deal with the long cold winter knowing maple tapping season is coming. 😊

When I went to high school in Sault Ste. Marie back in the early and mid 70s, one of my best friends had an uncle that owned acreage on 15 mile road between Riverside Drive and the St. Mary’s River down in Barbeau. He had a sugar shack and had hundreds of trees tapped and I would always help them collect the maple syrup And I remember it mostly being in March. My favorite part was getting paid for my help with a couple of bottles of maple syrup. This brings back great memories.

It’s definitely one of my favorite times of the year! It always happens right when I am itching to get back outside after being stuck inside for the winter. Thanks again for watching…let us know if/when you’re headed to the UP, maybe we can meet up sometime.

@@ADifferentKindofQuiet I am not sure on dates as of yet, but I know we will be up there in June and late September or early October and one time in between.. I generally go up at least three times a year to work on it so I can get it done and ready to use full-time hopefully towards the end of next year. I will let you know the dates we come up there for sure as soon as I know them. Be blessed.

N. Michigan update: I started tapping in January and stopped in April. Longest season ever and huge coloection and it produced the most robust and flavorful syrup I've ever produced. Definitely a banner year
