Merry Christmas guys. Was jealous of the weather you guys got for Christmas. Was cold here in Toronto and lots of snow for us. Probably 20 cm or more. You guys were warmer than Orlando Florida today. Think they came in about -1c today. Respect your commitment to your projects. I do only what I absolutely have to in winter. Two heart attacks , triple by-pass and COPD have left me only a three season outdoor guy. I love to do projects like this but put everything to bed in winter. Much respect. Happy New Year.

On the bottom of the little sled take some car wax and put on a couple of coats.and take a heat gun or a blow dryer heat it up after the 2 coat then buff it off you should have a shine like glass finish it should glide over the snow and ice like it was glass. I hope that it helps.

Those 4x4s weigh more than Ashley. The price of wood here in the USA is super high too. I got 3 4x4x8, and 4 2x4x12 couple weeks ago and it was $200

Last I heard, trailers for sale or rent, rooms to let were fifty cents... Now they’re up to a buck and a quarter?!?! Hmmm, 🤔 On a lighter note, back in the day we used to call the female barracks the “sugar shack!” Somehow the older I get, the more this is all strangely making sense! Merry Christmas! Just one note: the poly roof is an awesome idea, I did the same this past fall using four clear center panels of a twelve panel wide roof on my lean-to carport/outside shop. The light they’ll let in is great, but strap it strong. I used 1x4’s but a heavy snow load makes them bow a little so I’ve slid old 5/4 decking in beside to add support and it’s working fine now. *also keep in mind you’ll either have to build it with a high enough airspace from the boilers or watch your heat when cooking down your sap, cause rising heat CAN cause them to sag and or droop and it’ll turn into a hot mess... but definitely not the good kind!😉✌🏼 Just a lookin out heads up if you hadn’t thought of this yet...
