Here we are again. It's almost this time of year again and it makes me ache to play Maplestory again. Now has probably actually been my longest break of not playing I've ever had, considering I started in like 2005 that is actually crazy. There is just something about christmas, that always brings back that old youthful side, in general christmas is just so nostalgic. And when I think of nostalgia, I think of Maplestory and how carefree it was as a child. And logging in during christmas time is one of those things that just brings you back quite close to that feeling. I wish you all the best!

Every Christmas I visit this page and all the nostalgia rushes back. It's literally the craziest high I get, I truly miss being a kid with little to no worry playing MS. I played MS in 2004 (12 years old) - 2007 (14 years old). Then return a bunch of time throughout middle school and high school. for some odd reason I feel the urge to play Maple Story during Christmas time ( like November through January). I'm 25, been playing since 2004 was 13 at that time, the very beginning (no, no beta lol). only Bera and Scania were available at that moment. I have taken breaks here and there you know, because of my job and stuff, new responsibilities :( but that's life right there. Still, to this day I still log on to Maple to see whats new and sometimes just to listen to BGM's and get that nostalgic feeling back again, which is something we never gonna get back :( sadly. Anyways, its nice to see and read everyone's memorable moments by just listening to bgms like this one, I enjoy reading them!! Alright, back to real life... :( gotta finish an essay.. lol

I remember this, when level 30 was 'pro.' Everything took for ever to kill because we had very simple, basic attacks. Lvl 50 guys were like gods and they looked untouchable in lvl 50 gear. Eventually, 3rd jobs came around, and that was just huge!

A huge part of my childhood. Batch 2005. I experienced every single thing this game had to offer until I finally left in 2014. I miss this game especially preBB. Not gonna lie but the early years of bigbang was really okay. But the community itself faded. I've played multiple of mmorpgs together with maple, but for some reason, this game stayed in my heart. The next time I remember the days when I was a complete geek at online games, I'll immediately think of this game out of all the mmorpgs I've played. Thank you Maplestory, well played.

This was probably my favorite times for playing maplestory. I used to play this game so much as a kid (1000+ hours) until I was roughly around 18. The opening of this song bring so many memories of me as a kid. Everyone I had playing on here with were the best friends I could have ever hoped for growing up, you'd never run into an awful person (unless it was a scammer, which I never fell for). I could write a ton of things that brings back nostalgia for me, but I'll keep it short. If this is every brought back, I would jump into the game right away without a thought! This makes me so sad, It's one of my very first maple memories. Growing up as a Jewish kid, we never had Christmas., so I've never got to feel that Christmas feel. I always loved the idea of Christmas, and Maplestory was the only way for me to experience this holiday. I know this is an old comment but I just wanna say that I 100% feel you. I grew up in the only Jewish family in my entire school district, and every year was surrounded with Christmas cheer, but I never felt like I belonged. Maplestory gave me that experience that I otherwise wouldn't have had, and I'm just so grateful. It's one of my favorite memories of my years playing the game. And plus, there was a menorah map as well! It made me SO happy to decorate it with my friends and explain Chanukah to them.

This song is special to me. It reminds me of how happy I was to just be playing MS and chatting with guildies. There were basically only 5 of us in the guild, but we each played and chatted constantly, and in no time they felt like family. This song brings me right back to feeling as though those good friends are nearby and that we’re still just sitting around making stupid jokes and being happy; like we’re all just sitting around one of those giant trees in Happyville, dropping our most expensive items and being paranoid we’d lose them if we disconnected. I haven’t spoken to any of them in years, but they, this song, and this game will always be special to me. This song will always remind me of the good, simpler times of being a kid and playing MS, of pining after a guildie I had a crush on, of wanting to be a Free Market mogul so that I could help my friends out if they needed mesos. I think it’s significant that so many of us have these strong emotional ties to MS. Maybe we started playing because we had nothing better to do, but it sounds like it turned into something meaningful for a lot of us, and that makes me happy.

Maplestory is forever engrained in me. Some of my friendships in that game lasted longer than real-life ones. I had a friend who I still remember to this day... I was like level 40 something and they were level 70 something who saw past my nooby-ness. I would run home during lunch and after school just to emerge myself in this life-changing experience. Maplestory made my childhood so much happier. It was honestly the closest to feeling a sense of utopia, it was a whole new world where you enjoyed interacting with strangers. I started when I was like 11 years old (I'm 25 now, with a "real job" as a teacher). It's so happy, yet sad at the same time thinking back about what has passed. My only regret is that I probably spent enough money to pay a year's worth of uni tuition (thanks to 10years+ of playing, and those 90 day cash shop items in the beginning lol). I would come back every so often just to listen to these osts.

Happyville's song and map was truly one of my most favorite experiences on Maplestory. So many great memories here. Waking up Christmas morning, opening presents, getting NX cards in my stocking, buying some clothes with NX cash... Snowball fights with the massive snowman who would spawn here. Decorating trees. And oh man, the snowball event item they had that one year was an absolute goldmine. You could hold what, 2000 of them in one slot? I'd buy them for 500 mesos apiece in the main room of the FM and sell them in a good FM spot for 5,000 mesos apiece to desperate rich players looking to get every event item at once. They sold out so quckly every time I opened up a shop. Made 300 mil in just a couple of weeks, it was the first time I ever had more than 20-30 mil at once. So many lovely memories of that place. Warm memories, memories of being proud of making a lot of money for the first time, time spent with friends... I think my favorite times there were when it was nearly completely empty except for me and one or two other friends just messing around and talking. Seemed so magical. Man, how I wish I could turn back time and go back to Christmas back then. Life just isn't as special anymore.

there's something about maplestory in that, we're the ONLY ones here who can share these memories. no one else but us who played the game will be able to have these feelings. i think what hurts the most about nostalgia and the nostalgic feel we get from maple and this song is that it'll only be available to us in memories. it brings us to when there was SO much time to waste, and now time is incredibly valuable. we were such kids when this game was important to use, and we'll never be those kids again.

I met my first childhood friend from maple. We never spoke irl, just in ventrillo but we would play everyday in game together. Lo and behold I found out he lived 2 hrs from me and 3 years later when we were 15 we decided to meet up and finally see each other and became the best of friends until we had to part ways cause of work. Both of us are in our 30s now and this is literally a trip down memory lane for when we would camp here after balrog
