This op is not just a great expression of each character’s personality, it’s a love letter to tatsuki fujimoto’s love for film with all of the different references to classic films but with the csm characters. Kenshi Yonezu as both the song writer and lead vocalist, Daiki Tsuneta as both arranger and backup vocalist. They are actually a good friend irl, so when they were drinking together, Kenshi asked him lightly, "Do you want to make the (Chainsaw Man) song together?", then Daiki agreed. And the rest is history.

I love the absolute chaos in this OP. Especially in the action scene from <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="52">0:52</a>- <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="72">1:12</a>. Usually in OPs the action scenes are very slick and the characters are doing these bad ass acrobatic moves, but here Denji and Power, are just flailing around destroying everything in sight , as if they don’t know exactly what to do but are just going with the flow and trying to save the day through brute force before finally collecting themselves and coming up with an insane, “super smart” plan, using the golden ball. It’s very entertaining and very much like their characters.
