YES IT'S MAPPING DAY FOR THE EVO..
we turn up the boost, mess about with the timing, get some power..
and then of course we get pops and bangs on decel.. and the almighty launch contol ;)

Anyone who already has it says this, but The fact is that a well tuned Evo will do this regardless, especially the JDM Evos with OEM ALS so ur basically saying this like it's cool not to be cool which ultimately makes you sound dumb LoL

This has Little effect on the motor LoL maybe the valves, & more likely the turbo, but Evos were made for ALS, which is why they have an OEM ALS so as long as it's on the Decel there is nothing wrong with it.

LOL all these comments on the engine going bang etc etc, and it cant take 1,7 bar of boost, You forget lads this is a Evo not a Impreza!! The Evo will take this boost all day long!!! Has the clutch been changed/uprated Lee??

Feels like it’s got an exedy in but not 100% sure! I know a guy with 500hp and he’s still on stock clutch 😂

My standard clutch started to slip when I had my standard Evo 8 mapped with same mods you have(decat exhaust, filter, BOV, remap) But this was like 10-12 years ago, so there is a good chance yours has been changed in that time, If not then its lasted well.

It’s not flaming when stationery cause your not using launch control properly lee. Foot flat to the floor and hold it there and the boost will build and it’ll spit mad flames. Got the exact same style of map on my Impreza and trust me it works lol. Only difference is I have switchable anti lag too, but my LC is always live like yours. Do it and you’ll see. The problem is your not letting it build boost. I can hold 1.5 bar sitting still at 4K revs. So you can imagine the flames I get when the ignition is cut, that’s what the pops are it’s the ignition being cut. But build boost and when it cuts you’ll see huge flames :)

I make 30psi on pump & stock block. In fact EVERYONE in my area runs 25-30psi on stock Block with Evo 9 turbo. All tuned by English Racing. 4g63 can take a lot more than that too. All about the tune!

I had the pops and bangs mapped onto the intercooler Switch driving at night and in the streets was just awful with it on constant . You only need a 10.5 hotside on the Turbo Lee and a set of MR cams to get 400/400 , I ran mines at 2 bar of boost never change the head bolts and it never missed a beat. keeping hoses on was the only issue. Mind you yours has a fair few miles so might not be a bad thing.

Chris mine was the same, standard head bolts and only issue i had was hose blowing off all the time, think it was Mikalor clamps i went with in the end.

Pop and bang more like ak47. If your Gona use arp studs you may as well rebuild it as huge torque puts strain on rod bolts too and u will have change head gasket list becomes endless. As long as it doesn't det it's a safe tune 👍 do you run Tesco 99 as when I had my c20let mapped he couldn't get it to det at all but it does run lower than standard compression.

Hello mate glad all is going well with the new car , looking good and sounding good , obviously not as good as my faded pink fiesta , copied you're idea you did with the Stella can but I've made an exhaust out of monster and rockstar cans and when I start it in 2045 it's going to sound much better .
