MAPS = My Angus Please Stay That was her boyfriend. He was in another group. I just heard this today for the first time and I’m diving into it. Looked up the meaning. Found out about the lead singer. Now I’m going through reactions. You have a good one. This is my forth one I’ve watched and the first one she nailed the meaning of the song and like her you nailed the emotions. You added more with vocal comparisons and you dug into the sound more than any of them. Well done. Glad you take this seriously.

First time I heard this song was Rock Band 1.. i had 3 young sons. I remember the yells from downstairs...Mom, we need a singer😅😢 i cant sing but have lots of memories from this game. This song was the only song I didnt know, I love it! It stands out as something musically I heard from my kids❤❤❤

The first time I ever saw this band was on live television in New York City in a concert that was being broadcast from Central Park. I remember being blown away by the level of emotion in the performance.

Great reaction and analysis! Looks like i get to tell the story behind the video this time, since no one has yet. Allegedly, this song was written by Karen O for her boyfriend. When the video shoot was happening, he was supposed to be there but never showed up. So she's crying real tears looking for him in the audience. Then they broke up, i think.

A great song and a great band. They have no bass player. The low register stuff is variously keyboard bass, loops, and octave-doubling gizmos on the guitar.
