I've been a Ketamine patient at Roots Behavioral Health for about a year now, and I cannot possibly say enough good things about their protocol. The therapist I work with is amazing, and they've absolutely nailed set and setting. I honestly hate seeing other clinics leave patients in a standard hospital-type room alone with an I.V., without giving them the psychedelic experience or even the opportunity to integrate. These people do it right, thank you so much for helping me get my life back.

Did you do the ketamine assisted therapy or just the infusions?
@witchdokturr4 жыл бұрын
@@davidseriff711 As far as I know, Roots only offers Ketamine assisted therapy, they never do infusions without the support of a trained therapist. Most of the healing I've experienced has happened after I've come out of the ketamine space and talked with the therapist, so I would always recommend KAP over just an infusion.

@@witchdokturr you're right, most ketamine clinics just give the infusions but there is a better chance of longer lasting effects if you combine it with therapy. Were you able to talk to the therapist during the infusion or was it mainly after? Was it hard to open up to someone you just met? I am going to a place this week in pflugerville called Trancend.

@@davidseriff711 I find the doses I take render me completely incapable of talking during the experience, even after I've regained that ability it takes a while before I can really talk. I had no trouble opening up to my therapist, without a doubt he's the best I've ever had. I really hope you find the relief you need!

Very helpful to understand the science behind it before I begin treatment.

It is not bad at all. It's very relaxing...and provides a feeling as though you're being cradled in a warm blanket. If you relax and let it do its thing you will have a phenomenal experience!

Don't be. I know about ketamine because, after years of struggling with cigarettes, I spent an afternoon doing lines of k with my buddies and quit right then and there. Haven't gone back since, or even thought of it.

Are these IM injections? Bolus or smaller injection to gauge reaction and then another ? Thanks

18:50 _if the therapist recognized that she is not responsible for getting the patient to do anything -- "getting them to see ...." , she says -- (she actually believes that she can make them see, think about that) a great deal of pressure would be taken off her. And she'd be more effective. Her voice is shaking. She has misplaced her efforts. Release the stricture. You can only reflect what true Being is. They have choice. Their choice is theirs, not yours._

I found her hard to listen to. She sounds anxious, talking in a rushed, chaotic, breathy sort of way..

Sweetheart- not everyone is ‘good’ at speaking. She seemed REAL to me versus a scripted TEDTALK 😂❤
