Frustrating to see good stories, good subjects and very good actors being wasted because of improper direction, poor dubbing and budget constraints. मराठी चित्रपटाचे प्रकार : 1. केवळ पुरस्कार मिळवण्यासाठी बनवले जाणारे. तथाकथित भम्पक intellectual. उमेश कुलकर्णी टाईप 2. सदाशिव पेठी ( सुबोध भावेंचे चित्रपट या प्रकारात मोडतात ) 3. RSS प्रचारकी ( लांजेकर ) 4. नागराज मंजुळे टाईप "संधीसाधू " जातीय समीकरण घातलेले कशाला झक मारायला मराठी प्रेक्षक यांचे चित्रपट, चित्रपट गृहात जाऊन पाहिल.

Type 1 - these type of films are seen my many and are successful in Malayalam or say in Bengali industries. I think we take people for granted saying they are too intellectual - they are not. Not comparing Umesh films with richness of Malayalam films - just hope you get my point. Type 4 - I dont think Nagraj films are "sandhisaadhu" . Havent seen all of his work but best thing about his "Fandry" was that it did not "spoonfeed" the viewers - unlike usual habit of marathi films which "underline" every thought by dilalogues after dialogues and spoonfeed audience. No comments about other types you mentioned. Haven't seen them. I think taking audience intelligence for granted is the biggest mistake of Marathi film industry. I think Subodh is overall on the right path but disagree with him when he says 100cr is the goal - it is not. Look at Malayalam industry - nobody remembers which was last 100cr telugu film - or even if a Telugu remake of a mallu film earns 200cr - the original mallu film of 30Cr is remembered by all for its quality, subtlety, brilliance in every department - and main important thing - for its writing and respecting public intelligence.

सुबोध भावे यांना नेहमी कश्याला इतक महत्व देता, कितीतरी दिग्गज वरिष्ठ कलावंत मंडळी असतांना? हल्लीच्या चित्रपटांमध्ये अभिनय पाहायला मिळतो कुठे? सगळे अल्पावधीत प्रसिद्धी आणि खिसे भरायला आलेली मंडळी ज्यांना ना अभिनयनाचं ज्ञान ना अनुभव. फारतरफार नाना पाटेकर यांना तरी मुलाखतिला बोलवायचे ज्यांना ज्ञान पण आहे आणि अनुभव पण. एक सदाशिवपेठी!

Marathi movies way below standard with their stupid sense of humor. Persons like bharat Jadhav, mahesh Kothare, Sidharth Jadhav with their monkey type acting has done this. Although we have some very good directors like chandrakant Kulkarni and Gajendra Ahire.
